About Daphne Sky Studios

Hey my girl! I have an epic team that will get you so fucking glammed up and ready to rock! We have our amazing creative geniuses that will highlight, and make your face even more amazing than it is! Our in house professional hair and makeup artists are the best there is, and will leave you feeling super hyped up for your session. Bold or nude lips? Sexy lashes? Flowing hair? We got you baby!

We totally think everyone should gets their dream boudoir photos documented beautifully, so we are crazy meticulous when it comes to making your shoot the best and easiest possible. With our super duper great ice breaking skills, together (we) can create the most beautiful soulful art that you so rightly deserve.

Prep? What is prep? I have to do stuff?! Waahhhhh!!!

This may have you all in knots, but fear not my loves I have you covered! So let’s jump right in sister.

Shit, Shower, Shave. We all heard this when we talk about the men getting ready, but this applies to us too! Crass? Yes. Good Advice? Hell yes! So, make sure you have all the bits and bobs ready, as our shoots are intimate and require you in certain positions etc, and as you all know my work does not photoshop stray hairs, or held in fart faces ( i know cringe, but I am really trying to help you out. I promise!), as I am all about the raw beauty that you all hold.

Check your nails yo’ I mean it, I really do. Don’t chuck on crazy fluro nails, unless you want your nails to be the main feature of your shoot. Then go ahead sister, you do you. Otherwise, do all the cute stuff, go take yourself out for a mani + pedi, you are investing in yourself with the shoot, why not go all out? Whilst you are they, just do the whole combo and get your brows done too! You want to be feeling so damn fresh, sexy, and empowered for your shoot! Not picking at every little thing that is wrong with your look. Feel me? Yep? Awesome. Let’s get to the next thang.

EAT. I can’t stress this enough my loves, just eat a damn good brekkie okay? Having a shoot is actually more work than you think, all your energy will be on tip top high for three hours straight, the excitement of it all is so much. So we want you fuelled up and ready to keep up with the fun!

Oh and one last thing. Study my work. Like really study it, and fall in love with it all (if not already), it’s the best to get into the mindset of trusting me, my art, and the whole process. SO on the day you can just be free to feeling yourselves. I would hate for you to turn up and think, WAIT, this is not what I want, when we start getting steamier. If you are doing a shoot with your partner - make sure they are know what they are up for also! It’s so IMPERATIVE that they know how my sessions work, and if they are nervous (which is normal) tell them, my sessions are wild, weird and wonderful - also we have banging music and drinks to really get us in the vibes. So there’s that too, it really eases the nerves ;)

Preparation

Hair & Makeup

So we have this totally awesome set up in my studio, which all my clients are really digging! You get pampered and styled by our very own in house makeup artist Not only will she start your shoot with the most amazing way, by providing, rad chats, good beats, AND amazing makeup and hair styling, but she will also be giving you the best hype girl antics. What’s not to love? Like really. The whole process is around maximum 1 hour - with lashes included. Yep, she’s pretty fucking awesome. Our chosen makeup artist is the best in the industry, and I am so glad I have her in my studio with me creating magic! She also, works with you, your face structures, your skin tones, and basically what really illuminates you the most. Because here, we are all about EMPOWERING YOU, not changing you.

P.s Here is a little note from our makeup artist:

MAKEUP PREP: PLEASE ARRIVE WITH A CLEAN FACE & NO MAKEUP. (skincare is fine). The following is not absolutely necessary but is highly recommended to get amazing results with makeup:
Prep the skin with a gentle exfoliant and hydration face mask the night prior to appointment (use only products you know won’t irritate your skin). Brow grooming is recommended as it can make a dramatic difference with how clean the eye makeup looks. Any waxing or threading is recommended to be done at least 24hrs prior to the makeup appointment.
HAIR PREP: Please arrive with CLEAN and COMPLETELY DRY hair. Best to wash the night before or the morning of if you have super oily hair. Do not use any hair products eg. serums/oils after washing your hair. Wear a top that is easy to change in and out of (eg button up)

This is probably the most asked question for all my shoots. “Daphne, what the fuck do I wear?!” I get it I do! It’s what makes or breaks a shoot, so I am hear to make it easier for you baby! First of all, lingerie is special, it’s a luxury and something a woman should really invest in. It’s more than being sexy, it’s about FEELING sexy, and when you do feel that feeling. Wow. It really sets you on fire, and makes you wild with power. So if it’s a lover’s shoot or a self love shoot, pick a few outfits - ones that really sets you alight and yummy ;)

Bodysuits are perfect, they are so sexy, and also not as revealing if you feel like you want to cover up more, plus they are easier to pose in without random bits falling out everywhere. Lacy bra + knickers are a good set too, make sure the bra is fitted! Also gowns, cat masks, eye masks, handcuffs etc make an exquisite prop - make it personal to you!

WET SCENE : Bring in a white shirt that can get nice and see through - singlet, tees, big blouses, anything goes as long as you don’t mind it getting a little steamy ;)

I had lovers bring in a motorbike, now that is so extra, and I fucking loved it! You don’t have to do that, but think about what you want for your shoot, or WHO you want your shoot for (what are your lover’s hobbies/career then incorporate that into a few sets). KINK is welcomed here! Any handcuffs, whips, and other yummy stuff can be incorporated into the shoot. Remember this is all about you and what you love!

For the masculine vibes (or your for your partner) - bring in a range of PLAIN underwear, black/grey/whites and plain jeans are soooo sexy, and a white/black collared shirt (trusssssttt!!!)

P.S Feel free to bring in a couple of heels or boots (they are a current fave right now with my girlies) as you may feel like wearing them on the day. We can play and see what fits with your vibe xxx

Styling & Outfits

All you girlies, LUUURRRRVEEE and LIVE for the juicy wet scene that happens in the studio. It’s sexy, it’s all about EMBODIMENT, and just a fucking vibe. It’s so good that it needed it’s own little section in the prep and styling guide!
You can choose between the studio wet scene with hose or my pool area outside (just make sure you tell me before so I can prep it all)

First of all, you need a white shirt, it can be a singlet, a tee, or a crispy white shirt - whatever way you want it, as long as you can get it loose around you to hold and scrunch up and really compliment your body. Looser the better.

The choice of underwear is up to you, my girlies add in a high waist, high cut G banger (this is the best for shaping that bootay) and/or a sexy suspenders to really give it that extra oomph. Here is a link to some faves :

I do this wet scene RIGHT at the end, and your makeup will stay in tack, and we can choose not to wet the face at all, or we can get all freaky and dive the whole way in. It happens all year round, even winter- yep ;) As it’s quick and only lasts around 10 minutes max
This set is exhilarating and my fave set of the whole shoot!

wet/Pool scene

Ahhhh my love for a perfect shot is undying, HOWEVER I never EVER will make you uncomfortable, I am all about capturing your personality at best. WHAT MAKES YOU, YOU.
And boudoir, is no exception, ether with my couples or just you girlies by yourselves.

I do have a special art to really getting you out of your comfort zones, hence why my work is leading way here in QLD. I have a desire, a need, AN OBSESSION to make you feel so fucking good. POWERFUL. And the results? THEY ARE UNIQUE. Shocking, even to some. But amazing all the same!


So each shoot? It’s never the same. I help you. So leave all the posing stuff to me, it’s the most fun part of the shoot, really! I actually get really goofy, and show you all how to do it first so you can really see it, so never fear. I break the ice. Always! Plus, we have drinks and rad music to loosen you up!

After the shoot

Okay, now you have finished the shoot, you have the BEST TIME EVER, and you are on the best high, and we are besties now.

But… what next? Your ordering appointment is where we will choose your images, look over the products and decide what collections that you want!

Within a week we jump on a zoom meeting and we will get to relive your session! DROOLLL! We will be choosing your images and
This process is about an hour, so bring along glass of yummy or a tea whilst we gossip and die over your gallery.

I have payment plans available, which are super affordable fortnightly payments, and they just need a 20% deposit (this is through Humm - it’s like afterpay) OR we have my new in house payment plans which is $600-$1000 down (depending on what collection you choose) and the rest paid in full over the next two to four months. This has been raging success with my clients and they are loving that they get their products STRAIGHT AWAY, without waiting till the whole plan to finish!

ANYHOO - once your payments are made, our throats are sore from screaming with happiness, we part ways and never talk to each other again.
I joke I joke! We stay in touch - the normal voice notes, DM’s, emails, texts or smoke signals, and keep track on when your albums are getting delivered and also little reminders on the payment plans. You also let me know if I can share the images via social media or if I can blog etc - it’s totally okay if you want to keep it private it’s around 50/50 that I get to! It can be our dirty little secret teeheee ;)

Yep, all we do here in the studio, is deliver high end LUXURY products, so that your investment is fucking worth it!

Why else would we have it any other way?! Your albums are all personalised, choose embossing, different covers, and sizes. All handmade here in Australia, because we support locals ;)

All our prints, canvases and massive wall art are all made here in Brisbane - so you know that you are getting a faster turnaround time and helping out your local families!
